After Snow Cake

Snow Cake is a delightful expression of how insulated lives can be capable of friendships and interconnectedness , as well as of how firm strength and support from ourselves and others can be available when all are wounded to some extent. A most familiar theme with a special touch of real-life vividness.

Why do we go through such irrelevant tea-and-ham-sandwiches rituals after a death? Why can't we feel the joy we felt as children when we discovered snow in our hands, or the thrill of a trampoline as our body is launched into space? Why do we struggle to remember simple facts?

That is how Snow Cake enriches our life as well as the way we see ourselves.
