The past three years

Lots of very important things have happened during the past 3 years, in no particular order: 

 1. Our first son, Shal Tong "Puipuii" Shen, was born on Feb 3, 2013 at Oak Lawn, Illinois.

 

 2. Mark was accepted to card fellowship at Krannert Inst of Cardiology, Indiana Univ, in Dec 2013. 

3. Amy was accepted into phd program in learning sciences at Northwestern Univ. in Apr 2012. She had to delay for one year because of the pregnancy. And now she has received straight As for her first year of phd study.

4. Mark got numerous awards in residency at UIC/Advocate Christ program, including best intern and best PGY2 resident award. He continued to publish several papers, including one review article with Dr Douglas Zipes at Circ Research.



5. We made a brief trip back to Taiwan during spring, 2014 and met many friends and relatives.

6. Prior to this trip, Mark and Amy also made some domestic trip to DC, Boston, Oregon, Seattle, Wisconsin, Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville...

Among other many things... very fruitful and memory-laden three years.
